Richard Price, Owner
Price Nursery is owned and operated by Richard (aka Dickie) Price. Dickie is a lifelong resident of High Point. He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 1981, he began his career as owner and operator of a landscape & maintenance company (young and dumb). Then, in 1986 he started his retail garden center, and Price Nursery was born! For the past 23 years Price Nursery has concentrated on strong customer service for both homeowners and landscape contractors.

Mr. Price has 23 years of experience as a registered Landscape Contractor in the state
of North Carolina. He is also a member of the North Carolina Nursery and Landscape Association. Mr. Price offers his free landscape design service with the purchase of plant material from Price Nursery.

Price Nursery received 4 out of 5 stars from Local.com, a ratings web site for local businesses, products and services. Local.com said the following, "Price Nursery has a smaller selection than you might find at a home improvement center, but they are much higher quality. In addition, the staff there actually knows about plants, so it is easy to get assistance or advice. They also offer a selection of soils and garden accessories. The cost may be a bit higher than Lowe's or Home Depot, but what you get is likely to be larger and healthier."

Gary Mendenhall, General Manager

Gary has been with Price Nursery for 16 years. Over the years Gary has attended numerous training programs and seminars to keep our customers up-to-date on the latest lawn care, chemical applications, plant care and disease control technology. Gary is responsible for ordering the majority of our general merchandise and supplies.

Pam Rogers , Bedding & Perennial Plants and Houseplants Manager

Pam, a Master Gardener and North Carolina Certified Plant Professional, brings over 20 years of gardening retail and green-growing experience to Price Nursery. Pam began her career at a greenhouse operation and has been associated with Price Nursery since the 1990's. Pam is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of greenscaping and always welcomes customers questions.

Kathryn Dowdy, Gift Buyer and Design Coordinator

Kathryn has over 20 years of interior and exterior residential design experience as well as a strong background in floral design. Kathryn welcomes the opportunity to assist you with patio design as well. Kathryn purchases all gift items for the nursery and co-ordinates all aspects of design for the Nursery.
